Founded in April of 1999, the International Shippers’ Association, headquartered in Alexandria, Virginia,
is a non-profit association dedicated to international shippers and forwarders of commercial, military
and government household goods, unaccompanied baggage, and general commodities. Our Purpose
is to provide our membership with the lowest comparative rates (FCL & LCL) and best service for the
movement of household goods throughout the world by establishing volume-induced discounts through
ISA preferred vendors.
Membership in ISA is open to all entities who are shippers as defined in Section 3, paragraph (21) of the Shipping Act of 1984 as amended by the Ocean Shipping Reform Act of 1998.
This web site provides access to our preferred vendor’s services and rates and also provides industry
information, statistics and data to assist our members in understanding the changes in our industry.
